Omicron may leads third wave of Corona and push the world two year back - Says expert.....

Cases from Omicron first of all reported from Netherland and then South Africa and it was reported that it is very dangerous than delta virus. Spreadability is more because of continuos mutation in its spike protein. To date, omicron has spread in 35 countries and if the traveling is not stopped on immediate effects, then, within the week,   it is expected to spread to more than 400 countries.

Til today 400 cases of omicron variant have been reported throughout the world.  Expert says that if the third wave has come in an effective way, it may push the world two years back. In India, some cases have been reported with omicron variants and some cases are under testing. In Karnataka, 2 cases of omicron have been confirmed. Likewise, 01 cases from Kerala, 10 cases from Bikaner, Rajasthan, 09 cases from Jaipur, Rajasthan, and 12 cases from Delhi have been reported. The sample has been taken from the infected patients and sent for genome sequencing.

It is said that about 50 mutations have been seen in the omicron variant. among all mutations, 32 mutations have been reported in its spike protein itself. There is a very sensitive matter of thinking is that all the vaccines made for coronaviruses is mostly working to destroy the spike or make inactive the spike of coronaviruses by which it adheres in the body of human being but due to abnormal mutations in omicron variant, it is told that might it will leave the vaccine protection behind its infection and the person is also vulnerable who has already taken both the doses of the vaccines. The scientist is under stress because mRNA and Vector-based vaccines work on virus spikes and our body immune system respond to kill or paralyze virus's spike once it enters our body because virus using spike protein just like an adhering organ to the cell of the human body at that stage our immune system will start working against the viruses and safe our body.

Now the problem is that when the structure of the spike protein had been mutated then what would be the efficacy of the protein.  A senior citizen of Jamnagar, Gujrat found confirmed positive with omicron variant. He had come back to India from Zimbabwe.  Now the world moving towards lockdown. South Africa has declared the first level of lockdown.

Doctors told that omicron is spreading very fast and have common symptoms like other viral fever. The main symptoms are muscle pain, sour throat, dry cough, tiredness, headache and mild fever observed. Expert says we may escape from the infection up to an extent if we are fully vaccinated, avoid the rush, follow social distancing, wear a proper mask, sanitize our hand properly, avoid touching eyes, nose, mouth, and ears and avoid going outside until not urgent. If necessary to go outside,  go with full protection following all the protocols that were earlier followed.

However, in this puzzling situation, there is good news too. GlaxoSmithKline plc (GSK) statement said that lab tests and a study on hamsters have demonstrated the sotrovimab antibody cocktail to work against viruses that were bio-engineered to carry a number of hallmark mutations of the Omicron variant. In a major boost to the treatment against fast-spreading and heavily mutated new coronavirus variant Omicron, GlaxoSmithKline plc (GSK) today said clinical data from tests indicate antibody-drug works against the variant.GSK, which is developing the Covid-19 antibody-based therapy with US partner Vir, said "Preclinical data demonstrate sotrovimab, authorized in multiple countries around the world, retains activity against all tested variants of concern, including key mutations of Omicron. Sotrovimab is an investigational monoclonal antibody that retains activity against key mutations of the new Omicron variant, including those found in the binding site of sotrovimab. These data were generated through pseudo-virus testing of specific individual mutations found in Omicron.

To date, sotrovimab has demonstrated ongoing activity against all tested variants of concern and interest defined by the World Health Organization (WHO)," a GSK statement said. The tests are continuing to confirm the results against all of the Omicron mutations, with an update expected by the end of the year. The antibody is designed to latch on to the spike protein on the surface of the coronavirus, but Omicron has been found to have an unusually high amount of mutations on that protein.  Sotrovimab was deliberately designed with a mutating virus in mind,  said Vir Chief Executive George Scangos, adding that the drug was targeting a region of the spike protein that was highly unlikely to mutate. In Britain, this drug has been approved on Thursday by another brand name "Xevudy", for people with mild to moderate Covid-19 and who are at high risk of developing severe disease. Sotrovimab, sold under the brand name Xevudy, is an investigational human neutralizing dual-action monoclonal antibody with activity against severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2, known as SARS-CoV-2.

Sotrovimab is based on monoclonal antibodies, which are lab-made versions of the natural antibodies the body generates to fight off an infection. Similar products are offered or being developed by Eli Lilly, Regeneron, and AstraZeneca.

Deafness, hearing voices and dizziness have been confirmed in corona patients....

The coronavirus can also make a person deaf after infecting them. New research has revealed that this virus can also infect the inner part of the ear. Ear problems were seen in 10 patients infected with Covid. This claim has been made by researchers from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA.

Research has claimed that the corona can infect such cells of the ear that work for human hearing and balance the body. Researchers Dr. Konstantina Stantovic and Dr. Lee Gherke say that there are many viruses, including cytomegalic, mumps, and hepatitis, whose infection causes cases of deafness in humans. Why these viruses cause deafness is not yet understood.

To understand this, both the scientists were doing research on inner ear infections even before the corona epidemic. For this, he also prepared a model of it.

In early 2020, researchers came across cases in which patients had hearing loss, tinnitus (sound in the ears), and dizziness after a corona infection. Dr. Konstantina Stantovic says it was not understood why cases of deafness and tinnitus are common in corona patients.

After such cases came to light, they changed their plan and started research to understand the connection between corona and ear. Scientists say, to understand the connection between the corona and the ear, an ear model was made from human skin itself. These contained all the cells that are in the human ear. Many new things emerged from this.

Researchers say that 10 patients of Covid suffering from ear problems were examined. Of these, 9 were battling tinnitus. 6 also complained of dizziness.

Apart from this, the hearing ability of all 10 patients also decreased.

Omicron Variant: Omicron has more panic, less danger, says expert…

After facing the global pandemic of Covid -19, people are still under stress and many efforts made to bring regular life in normal mode. Now another variant of Covid-19 mutant named B.1.1.529 has knocked on the door to disturb routine life and made its presence in more than 16 countries.

It has been said that it is very much spreadable and has the potency of spreading 7 times more than the Delta variant. But along with this, there has also been relief news. A South African doctor says a patient infected with the variant has very mild symptoms and can be treated at home.

Dr. Angelique Coetzee, president of the South African Medical Association, said that 7 patients had come to her clinic whose symptoms were different from the Delta variant and were 'extremely mild'. He told that on November 18, patients had come to him who had complaints like body ache and headache. Its symptoms were similar to normal viral fever. So, we did the test in which its report came positive. On the same day, some more patients came to him with the same symptoms. Since then, 2 to 3 patients with similar symptoms are coming to him.

Dr. Coetzee is the same doctor who first identified the Omicron variant. He said that the patients who are coming now have very mild symptoms and they do not need to be hospitalized. Such patients can be treated at home. They also reported that, unlike the Delta variant, the Omicron-infected patient neither smelled nor tested positive nor did his oxygen level drop.

So, don't be panic but take utmost precautions as taken in the time of Covid-19.

How to protect oursleves from new varient of Covid-19 (Omicron)......a new study report...

A new variant of Covid -19, B.1.1.529 is named Omicron. It is a dangerous mutant of the  Coronaviruses and has 7 times more spreadability than the delta virus.  It is more asymptomatic due to less diagnosed symptoms just like light fever and tiredness. There is no loss of smelling power and hunger etc. It seems very common flue but shown fast effect than the past many variants. However, many experts say that it has no major health hazard especially for those who have been fully vaccinated.

India has prepared a list for high alert countries, the screening will be done very strictly to the passenger who will come from that countries. An abnormal mutation has been observed in the Omicron virus. Till date, it has spread to 16 countries. It includes African countries, Europe, Canada,  Australia, Hongkong, Israel, Netherland, Switzerland, Italy, Botswana, etc. It has been reported that it spread very fast and will take less time in spreading than the Delta virus.

The mutation in viruses is a natural phenomenon and the protein spikes that consist of RNA keep on changing resulting formation of new strains or mutants. WHO has considered it as a Variant of Concern (VOC). Not only this but also WHO has kept the five variants in the list of Variant of Concern. These are alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta, and Omicron. The alpha variant has been first of all seen in the United Kingdom on 18 December, 2020; Beta variant in South Africa on 18 December, 2020; Gamma has been seen in Brazil on 11 January, 2021; Delta had been reported from India on 11th May, 2021 and Omicron is from many countries from 26 November, 2021.

However, more information is not available for the Omicron variant. Research is still going on. The scientist has told, it is very dangerous but still, they don't know how many percent of people need hospitalization or which age group of people will be more affected due to this variant. The information of the new variant is dependent upon genome sequencing. As much as genome sequencing is done,  the variant of the new virus will be exposed. Till today, omicron has attained 32 mutants.

India has made new guidelines for the new arrival of passengers from other countries and that guideline will be implemented from the 1st December 2021. In this guideline, the arriving people will take the RT-PCR test at the airport itself that also with their own expenditure and have to stay at the airport till the report comes. If the report comes as negative even though they have to follow 7+7 quarantine formulae. This means they have to stay at the airport for 7 days and after they get a negative report again they have to stay at home for more than 7 days.  At intervals of 7 days, the patient is to take again the RT-PCR test for the negative result. So, the total days of quarantine will be 14 days. If any person is found positive at the airport then, the sample of those people would be sent for genome sequencing so that it would be known that which type of variant affecting to the person.

The contact tracing will be necessary for such a patient and for that three rows of the front and back passenger would have to cross from the RT-PCR test and cabin crew members should also be checked for corona test. A person who wishes to travel via airport has to show their negative report and RT-PCR test taken within 72 hours. the passenger who comes from ships also follows the same protocols.

Some study shows that the new variant of this omicron virus can break vaccinated immunity too. Dr. Ranveer Guleria, Director AIIMS has told that the changes observe in the virus's spike protein. Scientists from South Africa told that this variant is more infectious but not dangerous like other variants already come last year.

Corona's new variant Omicron stirred up the world…..

After cases of Omicron, a new form of Covid-19 were reported in many other countries of the world, many governments have taken steps like closing the borders of their respective countries, while scientists say that it is not yet clear that this form of the virus Whether or not it is more dangerous than the forms that came before. According to reports, cases of Omicron have been reported in 15 countries of the world.

How dangerous is the Omicron variant? WHO gave information, told the preventive measures--

The new form was identified a few days ago by researchers in South Africa and so far no information is available on whether it is more contagious or makes a patient seriously ill or negates the effect of its vaccine, but many countries have taken precautionary measures. Steps have been taken because already more than 5 million people have died worldwide due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Israel has decided to ban the entry of foreigners. Morocco said it would suspend all incoming flights from Monday for the next two weeks. Scientists from many places from Hong Kong to Europe and North America have identified the presence of this form.13 cases have been reported from Omicron in the Netherlands. After this, two cases each were reported from Canada and Australia. The World Health Organization (WHO) has suggested not closing the borders, in view of the limited impact of measures such as border closures and new cases in many countries.

Dr Francis Collins, director of the National Institutes of Health in the US, has emphasized that there is currently no information available that Omicron is more dangerous than earlier forms of Covid-19. Collins told the CNN channel that he thinks it is more contagious, given the rapid spread of cases in various districts of South Africa, but it is not yet known whether it is as dangerous as the delta form of the virus.

Japanese Prime Minister said on Monday that Japan is considering measures to increase border controls. He told reporters that he plans to announce new measures for travelers arriving from South Africa and eight other nearby countries in addition to mandatory 10 days of quarantine. Japan still has banned tourists from any other country from coming here.

The US plans to impose travel restrictions on South Africa and seven other South African countries from Monday. America's top infectious disease specialist Dr Anthony Fauci told that this will provide an opportunity to increase preparedness. The government of South Africa has objected to the travel restrictions. The WHO said in a statement that it "stands with African countries". The apex health organization said that travel restrictions may partially play a role in slowing the spread of Covid-19, but it has a major impact on people and their livelihoods.
