Foods in winter that made reasons for weight gain….

In the cold, we are sitting inside the quilt and with a hot plate of food and tea in hand. How relaxing to hear that isn't it? These are all you need to make the winter days comfortable. But this comfortable time also becomes troublesome for many people.

Yes, winter weight is indeed a problem. There are many reasons behind this, firstly cold weather, less physical activity, slowing down of metabolism and finally eating more to keep the body warm. All these things work to increase our weight. There are some main foods being eaten in winter in many parts of our countries and that make reasons to increase weight.

Creamy Soup - What if you didn't enjoy hot soup in winter? Soup not only satisfies hunger pangs but also warms you up in cold weather and also provides the necessary nutrition to fight against cold. But if you consume creamy soup, then there is a risk of weight gain. We are not saying that you should stop drinking soup, but drink it thoughtfully. Instead of creamy soup, drink the clear soup of tomatoes, vegetables, etc…

Winter season’s sweets- Gajar ka halwa (Carrot Halwa), Beetroot’s Halwa, chikkis (peanut sweet), til ka ladoos (Roasted sesame and jaggery bolls), gulab jamuns, and Christmas cakes all have high calories. So, we need to be careful while eating them. This does not mean that do not eat these things, but take care of the portion while eating. Eat sweets only once a day.

Parathas - There is nothing more fun than having hot parathas with butter and pickle in winters. It is easy to make. Potatoes, cabbage, carrots, or radishes can be stuffed in it. They are delicious to eat, but they also work to increase weight. Do eat parathas in winter, but at the same time use ghee or butter at least in it.

Tea or Coffee- Winters are incomplete without tea and coffee. Drinking hot tea or coffee gives warmth to our body, but it also increases weight. Drink only 2-3 less tea or coffee a day. Instead, you can drink herbal tea or black tea, or coffee. The anti-oxidants present in it prove to be helpful in reducing weight.
